  1. The easiest way to create a rich, roasted vegetable flavour is to cut the squash and onions in half and baste with butter in a 425 degree oven for 30 to 60 minutes. We served Northern Ice Vidal Butternut Squash soup to visitors on the first weekend of November to warm up and show them another way to create a "wow" flavour from Niagara's Icewine specialists; The Ice House Winery.
